Spanish literature has been known to inspire a lot of talented people. The beauty of the language is known to have told some of the most exquisite stories the world has come to know, as well as deliver some of the most thought provoking ideas. It is interesting to note that best selling Spanish language books are first non fiction ones, to be followed by translated fiction and afterward, local fictions. There are ample of Rocket Spanish Review booklets present all over the world. It probably comes as no surprise that the latter is dominated by Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s work.

The Non Fictions
The number one best selling Spanish book that is a non fiction and makes the best example is Carta de Jesus al Papa. First publication of the book was in early 2003, by Booket, a book that totals to 344 pages. Written by Fernando Sanchez Drago, the book offers letters to the Pope which were supposedly written by Jesus, if He were to sit down and write them.

Los Cinco Soles de Mexico
Another non fiction work, Los Cinco Soles de Mexico is a passionate record of the country’s history, from the times of the Aztecs to the days of Chiapas. Written by Carlos Fuentes, the 430 page book was published by Editorial Seix Barral in 2000.

La Comunicacion Eficaz
A self help book, La Comunicacion Eficaz was first published in early 2001. It was written by Dr. Lair Riberio, who endorses better communication for the sake of more successful, happier life.
